Dear AFCEA DC Colleagues and Loyal Corporate Sponsors,

AFCEA DC (The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Washington, DC Chapter) is soliciting your nominations for candidates for our Board of Directors.

AFCEA DC has a proud heritage as the oldest AFCEA regional point of presence in the Washington Metropolitan area.  Through its informational activities, networking events, member services, and committees/working groups AFCEA DC offers an ethical forum for the sharing of critical information and insights into new and emerging technologies, as well as new ways to apply technology to reduce costs and improve the defense community’s mission performance.

Serving on AFCEA DC’s Board of Directors enables individuals to help shape the Chapter’s programs and strategic direction, as well as interact and network with the best and brightest in the defense IT community.  Board members serve a term of three years and are expected to attend monthly Board meetings, participate actively on Chapter committees, sponsor AFCEA DC luncheons and other hosted events, as well as positively promote the goals and strategic direction of the Chapter within the marketplace.

All nominations will be reviewed by our Nominations Committee and selected individuals will be confirmed by our current Board of Directors.  Nominees will be informed directly of their selection as a new AFCEA DC Board member, and will be extended an invitation to serve.

P.S...
