Bio - Bruce Bennett

Bruce T. Bennett is the Director, Program Executive Office for Satellite Communications. Teleport and Services, Defense Information Systems Agency. He is responsible for the evolution, planning, resourcing, and acquiring of commercial satellite communications, Joint Satellite Gateway Teleports, and overseeing the major acquisitions of the DISA strategic business units. The Commercial Satellite Communications and Joint Gateway Teleports provide the bulk of the Department of Defense’s strategic Satellite Communications transport infrastructure to the Warfighter. The total scope of his acquisition responsibility exceeds $2 billion per year and he manages 300 technical and administrative employees.

Born and raised in southern New Jersey, Mr. Bennett has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and numerous advanced certificates from George Washington and Texas A&M. He is also a Level III Acquisition Professional in Program Management and Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering. He graduated from the US Army Engineering Intern Training Center at Texarkana, TX in 1982.
