Bio - Col David W. Stickley

David StickleyCol Stickley serves as the Director of Communications and CIO, Air National Guard, Andrews AFB. He is the functional leader for over 14,400 communications and information professionals, supporting over 107,000 ANG members at 88 flying units and 200 geographically separated units throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. He is responsible for policy guidance, program management and resource allocation in support of the ANG's State and Federal mission. Col Stickley received his commission in 1984 through Officer Training School (OTS) after graduating from the University of Tennessee. He has served at the squadron, wing, NAF and MAJCOM level. He has commanded both a fixed Communications and Combat Communications Squadron. Col Stickley was the Assistant Adjutant General (Air) for the Virgin Islands Air National Guard. He served the HQ ACC staff as the ANG assistant to the Director of Communications. Prior to his current position he was the Director North American Aerospace Defense Command 1AF (AFNORTH)/A6, Tyndall AFB. His awards and decorations include Legion of Merit, AF Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, AF Commendation Medal, and AF Achievement Medal.
