Dr. Prescott Winter was appointed by the Director of National Intelligence as the new position of Associate Deputy DNI for Information Integration, where he will work to bring together not just technology, but also the policies, processes, people and risk management and security aspects necessary to achieve true information sharing across the Community. He will move mission, business, and enterprise information together so that we may more effectively find it, integrate it, and deliver it back to users across the Intelligence Community.

Dr. Winter comes to this position on detail from the National Security Agency, where he most recently served as the first Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer. Prior to his appointment as CTO/CIO, Dr. Winter was the Director, NSA/CSS Commercial Solutions Center, one of the first organizations responsible for integrating the full range of NSA's relationships with industry. In 2003, Dr. Winter was the Chief of Customer Response, within the Customer Relationships Directorate for the SIGINT Directorate, responsible for reporting policy and for dissemination operations and policy. He began his career at NSA as a linguist and reporter, and subsequently worked as a collection manager and as a developer of new types of collection systems, established a new industrial relations program and worked in a variety of other positions across the organization.
