Bio - Troy M. Lange
Mr. Lange is the Chief of Cryptographic Products Engineering Office. This organization is responsible for the planning, development, certification, and testing of a wide range of secure communication capabilities needed by the Department of Defense, Intel Community, Combatant Commands, Civil Agencies, and International Partners. Mr. Lange is also NSA Mobility Capability Manager, responsible for leading the coordination of secure mobile activities across the enterprise.
Mr. Lange graduated from University of Akron in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Electrical Engineering. In 1995 he received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Lange began his career in 1990 as a Cooperative Education Student at NSA, with assignments ranging from Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks to running an ion implanter at the Microelectronics Research Laboratory. Most recently he served as program manager for the construction of the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative data center located at Camp Williams, Utah. During the course of his career he has worked in a variety of engineering and leadership positions in the area of Microelectronics, Data Acquisition, Facilities, and Information Technology. He served his Joint Duty Assignment with Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) within the Chief Financial Officer’s organization. He has also held a variety of leadership positions at the Team, Division, and Office levels.
Mr. Lange was certified as a Cryptographic Engineer in 1998, received a National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation in 2002, received the ODNI Collaboration Leadership Award in 2008, and graduated from the NSA Senior Leadership Candidate Development Program in 2009.
