Please mark your calendar for the 3^rd Annual AFCEA DC Spring Leadership Awards Gala scheduled on May 13, 2010 at The Hay Adams Hotel in Washington, DC. This exclusive event is not only a salute to our Warfighters for their service and dedication, but recognition of the contribution and sacrifice that they have made in defending our nation.

AFCEA DC will recognize a member from each branch of the military that has made a significant contribution to the Warfighter. This recognition will be given to two members (one enlisted and one officer stationed anywhere in the world) from each of the armed services – US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard – who have made a significant contribution to the Warfighter through the use of information technology.  Special consideration will be given for decisive bravery. Call for nominations will be requested on or about February 5, 2010 with all nominations being due NLT March 15, 2010.

A 17-Star Panel, consisting of recently retired General Officers, will serve as the selection committee for this program, including:

The event will include a reception on the Hay Adams Terrace overlooking the White House, a keynote presentation by VCNO ADM Greenert in the Ballroom, a recognition ceremony, and an opportunity to interact with senior government and industry leadership in support of our Armed Forces.

Sponsorship Packages to the event are now on sale online to Monthly Luncheon Corporate Table Holders.  In late March ticket sales will open for Corp Table Holders, and they will be restricted to TWO tickets per company that holds a full-table, and ONE ticket per company that holds a half-table.  (Sponsorship levels include additional tickets, up to four for the highest level sponsors.)  Tickets will open to general membership in April. SEATING IS LIMITED.
