Business Development 101 - Young AFCEANs Professional Development Program

The Young AFCEANS of AFCEA DC are pleased to announce the second Professional Development program for 2010. The fall program will focus on Business Development 101. This will be an opportunity to brush up on the basics as well as learn new techniques. Industry veterans will lead four break-out groups of Young AFCEANS and discuss the following:

Working with System Integrators and Service Providers – Best practices and how to
Positioning for Success – Mapping solution offerings to win program business
Networking with Government Industry – How to start the conversation, topics to avoid, maximizing your attendance at industry events
Maintaining and Developing your Personal and Company Reputation – Follow-up, etiquette

The ultimate goal of this initiative is for our Young AFCEANS to walk away with additional tools and/or references to assist in their own career progression.

Members of government, military, and industry under 40 are welcome to attend. Attendees need not be AFCEA members but we ask that everyone attending be under 40.

About the Professional Development Program

The Professional Development Program provides an opportunity for Young AFCEANS to meet with executive leaders from military, government and industry to discuss a variety of topics that are top of mind for young professionals. The ultimate goal of this program is for Young AFCEANS to walk away with additional tools and/or references to assist in their own career progression.
