We have assembled a panel of dynamic executives from across DoD to discuss the ways that COTS smartphones and other small form-factor COTS devices are being planned and implemented on behalf of the downfield operators.  The panelist will explore a variety of applications & implications, including those impacting Command & Control, C4ISR, Battlefield Triage, Force health telemetry, streaming video, encrypted communications, and others.  We hope to hear about the cutting-edge trials that have brought us to the present day, deployments of COTS smartphones specifically, and the necessary security/IA that is required to ensure the integrity/confidentiality of any data transmissions enabled in the mobile environment.
