The National Science Center (NSC), a joint effort between the U.S. Army and National Science Center, Inc., is a non-profit organization charged with engaging America’s youth to discover and pursue the possibilities that math, science and technology offer.  They are, in fact, our nation’s chosen catalyst – an organization established by Congress – for creating a new generation of scientists, engineers, inventors, and explorers.

NSC an education resource – supplying math and science instructional programs and learning tools to students and teachers nationwide via the Internet and distance learning.

NSC is a discovery center – a hands-on “exploratorium” designed to excite people of all ages about science, math and technology through vivid demonstration.

NSC is a classroom on wheels – effectively and efficiently delivering the science center experience to schools throughout the country via Mobile Discovery Centers.

And NSC is an incubator – a collaborative organization focused on creating new programs and facilitating partnerships that further support and extend our mission.   They have forged partnerships with a diverse group of organizations, such as the American Museum of Natural History, the United States Army, NASA, Georgia Department of Education, the JASON Project and Defense Information Systems Agency as well as several regional and national corporate sponsors.

NSC is by nature an evolving institution – one that must continue to grow and partner to further serve our mission.  To that end, the National Science Center depends on corporate and private sponsors for its continued outreach.
